Celebrate National Park Service's 100th Birthday with FREE GIVEAWAYS!
On August 25th, the National Parks Depot crew would like to wish a very happy birthday to the National Park Service! Mark your calendar’s for this day because 127 of our national parks will give the public FREE entry! Jointly, the National Parks Depot crew is celebrating the NPS Birthday bash by giving away FREE LED Lanterns!
These 127 parks in the US usually charge an entry fee, but thanks to the NPS birthday celebration, every park’s fee waiver will include entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees! What a score!
As we approach the centennial of the NPS in 2016, the organization is starting the birthday bash early with a ton of events, which we’ll get to in a moment :)
There will be FREE admission on these days as well, so mark your calendar!
- September 26 - National Public Lands Day
- November 11 - Veterans Day

The Find Your Park website also has an interactive map to find those events near you. You can refine the search by park name, zip code and even other public lands in the US. The other great feature of this website allows you to explore the centennial events and narrow your search by state, park name and specific date ranges! This covers nearly every national park in the U.S!
We encourage everyone to get out there during the month of August to explore our national parks and all they have to offer! In celebration of the free admission to all national parks, the National Parks Depot crew is giving away a FREE lantern, so you can hit up the parks day or night!
